The closer we get, the farther it seems. The pale glow becomes a radiance, breathing a lustrous green-blue as though it is alive - as though it knows we are here. Suddenly we are enveloped by its shimmer - it is everywhere. Your hand feels so heavy in mine. Our ears ring with a sound we have never heard before - perhaps one we should never have heard. In the afterglow we find ourselves on a rocky shoreline...
