"Between 2013 and 2016, the very friendly and very busy Martin Boulton of Touched Music invited us to contribute to three 'Touched' compilation albums, raising money for cancer research. It was a true honour to have our music sit alongside the extraordinary likes of Autechre, Loscil, Orbital, Funki Porcini, 808 State, Kid606 and Future Sound of London (to name just a few) - and all for a great cause. In 2014, for the 2nd compilation, 'Touched Two', we donated a promising version of a track called Ghosts of Aleppo - probably inspired (edit: ripped) from the Vice documentary series of the same name. Now, almost 10 years later, what started as a basic remix, turned into a full rework, including a second extended/slowed version, the 'Citadel Opus'. It's poignant to note that all these years later, war still continues in Syria. Ghosts of Aleppo is intended to be a sombre reminder of the tragedy of war - but believe us there is a deep sense of hope woven into this music. We hope you enjoy it."
